Position Summary

As a Heating & Air Conditioning Maintainer, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance, inspection, and minor repairs of residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This role ensures optimal system performance and customer satisfaction by identifying potential issues before they become major problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on residential and commercial HVAC systems

  • Inspect system components for wear and efficiency; clean and replace parts as needed

  • Document service work and communicate findings and recommendations to customers

  • Identify potential problems and inform service/repair team for follow-up

  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used

  • Ensure tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained in good working condition

  • Provide outstanding customer service and represent O’Brien Service Company professionally

  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and company training requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of [1–3] years of HVAC maintenance experience preferred

  • EPA Certification (Type I and II or Universal) required

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures and environments (indoors/outdoors, confined spaces)

  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary
